For more than ten years, Prof. Gamow has taught a course called The Biophysics of Extreme Environments (CHEN 2800) through the Chemical Engineering Department, CU Boulder. Last May Prof. Gamow field-tested this course with 16 students who studied the two most extreme environments in Australia: the Great Barrier Reef and the Outback. Not only was there a great deal of interest in the course, it was educational and fun.
