A monoplace hypobaric chamber which can simulate altitudes above 10,000 feet. The Bed is an 8 foot long fiberglass chamber weighing 200 pounds. By using the chamber to acclimateize to higher altitudes athletes - mountain climbers, cyclist, runners, etc. can stimulate the production of EPO in the body. EPO is a hormone which increases the production of red blood cells. This increases the blood's ability to transport oxygen allowing an athlete to improve performance. By sleeping at altitude and training at a lower altitude where there is more oxygen an athlete can have an improved training regime. "Live high and train low is the way to go."
